Snow Reporter Comments: Good morning! There's an odd spring in the weather's step this morning. Temps are below freezing, a bit of snow is falling, and a steady breeze is fuzzing the sharp edges of the corduroy. Despite the chilly start, we're all-in for one of our classic spring events...
It's Suits and Boots day. This great event in support of the Citizen's Climate Lobby is brought to you by Migration Brewing and 503 Distilling. We'll hold the event in the Schuss this year to keep you warm in whatever your version of “suits” looks like. Given the weather, we encourage creativity in your suit selection – save the sequined bikini or leopard print Speedo for another time! Don't have a pass or a ticket? We have limited discounted lift tickets. Part of those proceeds will benefit Citizen's Climate Lobby.
What will you encounter on this odd spring day? A trace of new snow down low and a bit more up high. We should see sunbreaks this morning and a return to snowfall this afternoon. The wind will back off some, but probably not enough for us to run Vista or Cascade prior to the visibility dropping later. Given that we'll have some sun, consider a warm weather wax for your board or skis.
There's not much time left in ski season – just a few more long weekends. Grab your boots, your boards, and your suits. Get some late-season turns before it's time to put the boots away for the summer. See you soon!
